About Jackie
After a decade in the nonprofit world, I opened my private practice to focus on creating a space where real, lasting change can happen. My passion lies in helping emerging adults and adults who are navigating life transitions, trauma, depression, and anxiety.
I believe that therapy begins with building a strong, safe, and compassionate relationship where you feel seen, heard, and understood free of any judgment. Once we establish a trusting clinical relationship, we can begin to explore what’s been holding you back and work toward the changes you want to make. Here, you will find meaning and confidence to live as your most authentic self.
My approach blends psychodynamic exploration with practical tools and strategies. Together, we’ll look at the patterns and experiences that may be keeping you stuck, and find ways to move forward with greater clarity and confidence. Our work will weave together your past and present so you can feel more grounded, whole, and connected.
I’ve been a therapist and social worker for over 25 years. I hold a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and I received my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from New York University in 2000. I also hold SIFI and LCSW certifications and completed a one-year program in Psychodynamic Approaches in Clinical Practice at the National Institute for Psychotherapies.
Early in my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals from high-risk populations, including women, families, and LGBTQ+ youth at non-profit organizations all over New York City such as Grand Street Settlement and Safe Space, Inc. My time as a clinician and social work supervisor for patients who were at extreme risk of homelessness and commonly struggled with trauma allowed me to develop critical skills in relational therapy and creating a safe space for all.
